Tubes for construction use

Application examples:

  • building structures (load-bearing and structural elements such as frames, columns and beams);
  • power industry (as structural elements of wind towers, hydropower plants and transmission networks);
  • transport (as structural elements in transport infrastructure such as bridges and viaducts);
  • mechanical engineering (as structural elements in industrial machines and devices).

Dimensions

Outside diameter: from 10,2 mm to 139,7 mm
Wall thickness: from 0,5 mm to 12,5 mm

Dimensions and weight of seamless steel tubes according to EN 10220

Tubes from outside diameter D ≥ 21,3 mm and wall thickness T ≥ 2,3 mm are supplied hot finished. Other dimensions and precision tubes are produced by cold drawing.

Packing

Structural hollow sections are supplied in packages with a circular or hexagonal diameter with a weight of 300 to 3500 kilograms. The tubes are bound with a steel band. It is also possible to wrap tubes in plastic sheets, burlap or in wooden crates.

Surface protection

It is possible to galvanize all construction steel grades, but the quality, appearance and thickness of layer depend on the chemical composition of steel (Si + P). To avoid the corrosion process it is recommended that the content of Si + P was in the range of 0.13% – 0.28%.
