Designation of steel according to EN 10217-1

Designation of steel consists of:

the number of the European Standard and one of the two:

• designation of steel according to EN 10027-1 i CR 10260 or

• the number of steel according to EN 10027-2

Designation of steel:

• letter P for pressure purposes;
  
• the indicator of the minimum specified yield strength for wall thicknesses ≤ 16 mm expressed in MPa:

and one of two symbols:

• TR1 – for quality without the specified content of aluminium, adequate toughness, receiving inspection and testing required
  or
• TR2 – for quality with the specified content of aluminium, adequate toughness, receiving inspection and testing required
