Non-alloy steel tubes and fittings for the conveyance of water and other aqueous liquids.

Steel grades: L235 (0252), L275 (0260), L355 (0419)

Designation of steel according to EN 10224

The tube should be produced in one of the following processes:
a) seamless (S)
b) butt welding (BW) – longitudinal weld
c) electric welding (EW) – longitudinal or helical weld
d) submerged arc-welding (SAW) – longitudinal or helical weld

Dimensions

Outside diameter: from 26,9 mm to 2743 mm
Wall thickness: from 2 mm to 25 mm

Tolerance of the outside diameter for EW and BW tubes

outside diameter ≤ 219,1 mm: ± 1 % with minimum ± 0,5 mm
outside diameter > 219,1 mm: ± 0,75 %

Tolerance of the outside diameter for SAW tubes

± 0,75 % with a maximum of ± 6 mm for diameters ≤ 2 032 mm. For D > 2 032 mm the tolerance upon agreement.

Tolerance of the wall thickness for EW and BW tubes

Wall thickness tolerance excluding the weld area: ± 10 % or ± 0,3 mm, depending on which value is greater.

Tolerance of the wall thickness for SAW tubes

Wall thickness tolerance excluding the weld area: ± 7,5 %.
The maximum height of the weld bead must be within the following values:
wall thickness ≤ 12,5 mm: max 3,5 mm
wall thickness > 12,5 mm: max 4,5 mm

Tolerance of the exact length L

• 2000 mm < L ≤ 6000 mm outside diameter < 406,4 mm: + 10 mm outside diameter ≥ 406,4 mm: + 25 mm

• 6000 mm < L ≤ 12000 mm outside diameter < 406,4 mm: + 15 mm outside diameter ≥ 406,4 mm: + 50 mm

• L > 12000 mm
